Fashion Business Musings RoundUp

startup fashion business owner musings

When I first began StartUp FASHION, I couldn’t believe the amount of work and stress that it placed on my life. I loved it, don’t get me wrong, but it was really freaking hard. It still is.

Over the years (it’s been 5 now!) I’ve learned some things about entrepreneurship. Lessons, concessions, and epiphanies are great. Business owners love to share them. But they rarely share the hardships, admit their mistakes, and express vulnerability.

That’s nuts.

We need to talk about the realities; we need to connect with others who are doing this too.

Here are my musings, things I’ve written over these past several months expressing what business ownership is really like.

I’ve written them in hopes that you read them and feel a lot less alone in this crazy journey and lot more encouraged to continue pursuing your goals.

    Hi Nicole,
I’ve been hooked on to your lovely write-ups about fashion designer / Entrepreneur musings.
Just reading your posts helps in identifying the problem and routing solutions while running the fashion business scene.
To tell you frankly sometimes while reading I feel like this post was meant for me or sometimes it’s like , OMG!! this is exactly what has happened with me before!
Coming to know, of all the knowledge, experience and skills in setting up fashion businesses and independent designers, I think I’m approaching the right person needed to launch my store in the USA.
I am an Indian National, independent designer residing in the Middle East and now thinking of spreading out internationally.
I want to take my label Beautiful People to a new level.

Will I be hearing from you soon?
Have I knocked the right door?

to make each day it count!

      Hi Sakina,

That’s exciting, congratulations! Thanks for your inquiry, but I don’t work with designers one on one to launch internationally.
